Boys!!!!!!!!!! please answer!! DESPERATELY NEED HELP!!!?

There's this boy in my homeroom. I have liked him since school started so of coarse I was excited when he wanted to tell me who he liked...my friend. Bummer! I talked to my friend and she is completely, definately, going to say no. But he says he is nervous and wants me to pick the day that he asks her! I don't want him to ask her! I know that sounds selfish but she's gonna say no anyway! I'm pretty good friends with him so what should I say to him? Should I say my friends not interested? Should I ask him out? HELP!!!
