FF7 glitches?

i'm having an issue with Final Fantasy VII on my computer. right after the battle with palmer, yuffie is supposed to jump onto the tiny bronco and an FMV starts. however, my computer freezes every time the FMV tries to start. this is the very first time i've had this problem; i've played past this part on my other save file, and never had this issue. can any body help?
