Why is NBC so about their content on Youtube?

I uploaded a very funny skit from SNL on Youtube yesterday. It was #53 in the most watched Comedy videos on Youtube. I just checked my email and it said it had been removed due to copyright infringement by NBC Universal. Why do they care so much so much about their content?!? They are the only TV network that tells Youtube to remove all content they didn't post.
