Is religion more complicated than it needs to be?

To me religon is more a philosophy than anything else.No one is 100 percent sure of is there or isn't there a god and if they say there 100 percent there lying straight atheist or catholic no one is that sure.When it comes down to it there is good in religon when it comes down to it,it does speak of love, good family morals and respect however It's not always lived by because people no matter what religon can be .The best thing to do when your trying to find god is keep an open mind to other philosophies not only listen to the preachers but listen to the critics aswell and look inside yourself cause real happiness comes from the inside not from depending on god to make you happy.God helps those who helps themselves .
