HI! Im getting married next year God willing and it's a muslim marriage.. i was wondering about my hair.. see?

im half african american and when i was my hari it gets really puffy and hard to manage.. i wanted to get it starightened on my wedding but after a certain unmentiionable happens we're supposed to purify ourselves and make what is called ghusul.. basically like a religious type of shower... and we have to wash our hair in the process.. so basically im freakin out that im gonna be this beaitiful bride and then when i come outta the shower 5 minutes later im lookin like a monkey! and it's really gving me heartache cause i just want to be pretty for once and not have to worry about my day being ruined cause i dont know what to do with my haair.. relaxing it is out of the picture... so i was jusst wondering is there any way i can keep my hair straight from flat ironing it after i take my shower.. cause i really dont want to be in the bathroom for and hour and a half trying to re straighten my hair and him wondering where the heck is my wife? lol ugh please help
