Is this a bad joke or life?

ok well i have a step mom who was my uncle's ex wife and and she so is the evil stap mother every one talks about. So i'm trying to go to my first high shcool dance but i have Cs on my midterms and i all ready have the ticket and the dress(which i payed for) and they're telling me i can't go and i don't what to do cause my date can't drive so what should i do should i go any ways or should i act like i didn't send $200 on this thing?
