What would you like to see in a brand-new band?

My friend and I are beginning a band and have our own vision, but I was just curious of the R&P crowd (since you all have good taste). When you see a new band, what do you wish their vision/music intellect/etc. to be? Essentially, what would you like to see in a brand-new band?
